I suppose that Thad is an expert, comparable to you, as he is capable to mention the name of this ampitheater by seeing only a partial image of it.
The situation is somewhat confusing to me, as I though that the Flavian Amphitheater (Anfiteatro flaviano puteolano) is located in Pozzuoli.
Thought that amphitheater in Rome was called 'Colosseum'. It's however possible that the name Flavian Amphitheater is primarily associated with the Colosseum in Rome.

Wonderful, it looks like one of the old colosseums my favorite group (Il Divo) held one of their concerts in. It reminded me of them. Great angle on it.
