Decay surrounded by life as seen in this scene. A stand of trees left behind in a forest cut-over for use as a wildlife corridor. It's also a heck of a place to escape the heat of the day if you don't mind being pursued by a million mosquitoes.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I like the way the light is coming down into all that growth. Nice capture.

A cool shot my Friend. A green essence is afoot with a surreal quality....has a sense of mystery.

I love wandering in forests and woodlands...the 'smells' of both fresh grown and decay makes you know that nature is doing it's job!...

Goodun pal..

Enjoyed the shot and the commentary. The And is important. Not life or death but life and death. The association is plain to see.

Very interesting photo and so wild looking too,the old tree adds a great feel to this photo and brakes the view up.Very nice light and shade in this scene too,it looks like a cool place and i bet it is full of bird life.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
