You are correct it would look better with only one seagull held motionless in the air. But you try convincing the second one to move and see how successful you are.

I found this photo very amusing it like the sea gull is trying to care the one below away lol.Nice detail and colours my good friend and very good composition as well. I especially love the sky and the ripples on the water along with the light and shade too.
