This is not the photo I started out taking. I went down to the river last Sunday and decided to get my feet wet. It was either that or walk a country mile out of my way to get from one side of the river to the other. And it only took three days for my boots to dry out afterwards. But that's neither here nor there. Back to the photo. This was one of those rare times that I brought a tripod along with me. In this case the smaller traveling one that fits nicely into the backpack; not the huge one that requires a porter to tote along for me and a crew of six to set up. I then slapped the fader nd filter on the lens and proceeded to snap shots like a modestly unbalanced man. This was the result of an 8 second exposure. Thus the need for the tripod and the fact that the river I started out shooting was now downstream.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

The ND works good with this scene..both slowing the water and putting more detail in the sky!

Yer a bit like me mate...I don't like carrying too much on my travels either!....

Well worth the extra for this terrific shot

I agree with the above comments Wendell. The nd filter gave same amazing results. I guess I better locate my filter and snap a few long exposures.

Beautiful capture!! Lovely scene, saturated colours and accurate composition. I maybe would of tamed down the brightness a bit. Other than that its a well done capture.
