Another day, another run-in with some waxwings. I must have smelled nice that day because this one let me get real close to it. There just might be something to those weekly bathing phenomena. I guess it’s not just for dogs after all.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

I just realised that the Polish name of this cute bird, "jemiołuszka" has been one of the very fist words I learnt as a child:) They were allegedly very popular in Poland and inhabited our area quite densely. They might be around even now, but I do not notice any other birds than magpies which are so noisy and nosey that it would be difficult to pass them by:)
Thanks for this beauty, dear Wendell.
BTW have I asked you about SOS ...? Oh, I did, didn't I? LOL

On my next WalMart visit, I will see if they an antiperspirant called, "Waxwings R-Us." Maybe then I may be able to get shots like you are getting, Wendell.

Lovely shot, Wendell. He's not even bending that thin branch, even though he looks well fed.

Well done my friend to a excellent looking capture of a bird that visits the UK and the light plus detail is superb and I love the softness to this capture and lovely colours Wendell plus composition is spot on again .

Excellent work here Wendell - the lighting is muted but more than sufficient to show off the bird which has a wonderful expression on his face.

Incredible capture, again, the softness of the feathers is felt through the screen, the colors, lighting, composition, perfectly done. Bravo!
