I could tell you that they erected a brand new bench in this section of the park. But odds are that they merely took an old one and slapped a fresh coat of paint on it and then lugged it up several flights of stairs before getting tired and simply leaving it here because everyone knows management is never going to come all the way up here just to check that the workers put the bench where it is supposed to be. Which probably explains why I keep coming across picnic tables in the oddest of places in the park. Now if only they could be convinced to install a few escalators and elevators. It would cut out a lot of that tiresome climbing so people could enjoy the scenery more.

And silly me I forgot to give the bench a tryout. So I have no idea if it's comfortable to stretch out on.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Well done - a bench deep in the forest would suit OB I think if someone could bring him a pint every now and then!

Well, it's still a pretty park, Wendell. I'm sure Bob would take advantage of it considering all that climbing.

What an entertaining story Wendell, and most likely, ever so true. I'm sure Owd Bob would appreciate this bench after the climb up to get here. Bravo!

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

LOL at your story dear WAS, but nevertheless our OB1 will not blink twice before turning your gracious offer down. I know him and am certain that after he is back from holidays, he would be so tired that climbing any stairs will be out of the question.
In fact I think I can act as his spokesman in this respect and therefore please change your booking for this bench from "Bob" to "SAM & SAAB"!!!
Done? OK. We are coming.

Looks like a great place to spend a few hours. I like the greens and browns and the splashes of yellow. If there is a drop off to the left with a view down into a valley, I think I could be tempted to face the bench another direction.
