For your own safety it is imperative that you use the handrail provided to prevent any injuries from falling on the slick ice and snow as you ascend or descend the trail. Well as you can see that ain't gonna work. And for added fun the snow was a bit soft along the edge. Surprisingly the trail was still open in this condition. Now if I lived in a more litigious society there would be someone up there right now "falling" off the trail and suing the government for their own stupidity. And of course miraculously recovering when the check is cashed.

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Wendell, you have posted a beautiful winter scene, but that trail does look a bit precarious. I'll sit this one out thank you:-):-):-) Love the texture and the shadows of the snow!!! Well Done!!!

Please remember to tell Boris about the railing! LOL
Myself would not need it either. We, secret agents, are obliged to stay fit and capable of standing any falls without a trace or sign.
Otherwise approved providing your Sunday concert arrangements are satisfactorily completed, both choir & orchestra and one more thing, there is a ballet joining in.

I'm with Laura on this one - I'll stay snug in the house and enjoy the wonderful winter shot on my monitor.

Like the lady who sued McDonald's because her Hot Coffee was Hot, Wendell.
Avalanche comes to mind when viewing this winter scene. Good lighting makes for good shadows.

Looks like a rough trail to hike Wendell. What you going to do with that money from the government? Nice shooting.

Seeing the lack of human foot prints if I had to I would go along on my bum or just turn round and head back lol. This is one dramatic looking scene and you get the feeling you could be in serious trouble if you decided to carry on ahead.Lovely detail and stunning light in this photo and I like the shadows in this capture too.

No hand rails for me. Just stick me in a barrel and roll me on down the hill. Beautiful shot, Wendell. I love the light and shadows and the steep slippery slope. Outstanding photography.

The problem with the handrail, I'd have to crawl, lol. Fantastic shot, really like all the shadows and textures of the snow. You sure would have to stay on that path or your over the rail. Right into my favs
