Well for once it decided not to be cloudy in these parts when a rare celestial event occurred. So I figured it might be a good idea to take a snap or two. I only stayed up for half of the event. So don't anybody go and spoil it by telling me how it ended; I recorded the rest of it on my VCR and will watch it later. :)

Enjoy and your comments welcomed.

Congrats on superbly pulling off this challenging shot, Wendell. You wouldn't believe me if I told you what happened after you went to bed.

Well done Wendell - a super capture.
The eclipse was not visible down in this part of the planet.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

You managed to get a grand photo of this special event, Wendell. (Here it was cloudy and we did not see any of the moon, but have seen a lot of photos on the net.)

It was way too cloudy here for any viewing Wendell - this is a great shot - best I've seen thus far.

A great shot of the blood moon. I even see a few stars in the enlarged view. That indicates a good camera and a steady picture.

A fabulous image of this dramatic moon. My image (also called "Blood Moon")was taken hand held and through glass as totality occured between 3 and 4 in the morning and I was too lazy and tired to get dressed to go outside. A great image.
