This is Morat or Murten, Switzerland on the lake of the same name. It´s officially bilingual, hence the two names.

Lovely shot - looks almost like a painting, particularly in the thumbnail. I wish I could remember the artist it reminds me of....maybe Brueghel? Nice desktop, anyway :-)

Thanks for the comments. The green, as well as the sky, were exaggerated a bit with some minor photoshop work because the original was a little bland. I decided it wasn't enough change to put it in manipulation though... correct me if I'm wrong.

Superb landscape! Switzerland is one of the most beautiful of countries, and this part of it isn't an exception.
