I've been working on this for a couple of days now. You might recognize the Angel of Ice (who is now the Angel of....something else). Three apo renders layered, then had to tone down the saturation a bit. It still may be a bit too bright for the right feel. Comments welcome, and thanks for visiting. -mike-

WOW! One of your best yet I really like the cloud and the top piece. My eyes cant decide which to focus on. Very even and distributed piece and I think the colors go nicely. The whole piece just flows together smoothly. Very nice job!

Well now ... Mike ... you've outdone yourself on this one.

Excellent work, and as noted above ... a very powerful visual.

If I may be so bold, and I may have suggested this to you before ... my apologies if I have ... take a look at the tutorial Phil; aka philcuk has put up on the site ... found here.

Don't accept the default settings in the "Shadow/Highlight" step ... play around a bit ... and I think you will achieve the appropriate level of contrast ... (and some added depth as a bonus) that you are looking for.

Alternatively, again if I may be so bold ... selectively choose the layers ... merge them ... duplicate the layer ... set the top layer to "Overlay" ... adjust the "Opacity" ... and that may produce some desirable results as well.

Just some thoughts, 'tis all.

This is favs' stuff for me too.

Thanks for sharing this one. :o)
