A couple of years ago at winter time, Sue and I visited my brother who lives in the Washoe Valley in-between Reno and Carson City, Nevada. We went for a drive through the old part of Reno and came across this wonderful stone home and took a few pictures of it. I have posted this before a long, long time ago but it had a huge curved branch in front of it so it might look slightly familiar to a few of you but this is a much better image than my last posting. The house doe's not face the street so this would be the side view although I would call this the back yard side myself. I have a picture of the front which I will post later. Hope you enjoy. BB EDIT: The side of the house at the right of this image is the side that actually faces the street. I described it incorrectly in the narrative:):)

Oh, I LIKE this! Beautifully composed, very sharp. My only complaint? I'd LOVE to see a shot done in springtime, lol.
When are you going back???

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Wondered why the trees had lost all their leaves, but reading your narrative does me conclude that this picture was taken in wintertime too. Very promising for the front side image to come Bruce.

Kind of spooky looking...but most horror/gothic novels usually seem to feature a house design of this sort...always gables and irregular rooflines...(LOL) Thanks for sharing...

Something about the back of a house that makes you feel welcome. I love the deck. Looks like a lodge BB.

This needs to go full screen to appreciate the stone walls fully. Nice winter shot.

You were so right to stop to take some photos of this beautiful home, Bruce! I think the stones add a lot of character and a bit of a rustic feel! Oh look, they even have a stoned wishing-well! Wonderfully captured!

I thought from the title that this was a renovation job you were working on.
I think you shot it at the right time of year, if those trees were in leaf the view of the house would be obscured. A beautiful looking house, love the stonework walls.
