Taken at the Georgetown Founders Day parade and celebration last spring. Enjoy:):) If my memory serves me they said these were about 17.5 hands tall!!!
I like horses, but know little about them. I do know you should clone that pole coming out of their heads, Bruce. First rule of any type of portrait shot. Are these Clydesdales? That's the only name of the large breeds I can remember. They're such gentle giants.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Wow beautiful capture and it work very nicely being a close up it lets your eyes focus on the main scene which is the horses and not the background. Very nice detail and lovely colour in this photo too.
Beautiful shot of these draft horses . You've caught the harness details very well . The Black one looks like a Percheron , not sure on the Bay. Could be a cross or a Clydedales , but they usually have white face markings. Regardless to breed you have done a fine job on this shot.
More like 19.5!!! These suckers are huge! I had one almost step on my foot when I was 12, and boy do I remember that!...lol...Beautiful capture of the pair Bruce!!!
Hello Bruce...As a lover of horses I do like to be around them and take pictures of these magnificent animals...You have done a grand job in capturing these beauties with their lovely harness and blinkers....Well done....All the best to you Bruce........Mick.
