In Lafayette, Ca. just around the bend from us here in Walnut Creek, is a memorial to those who have died in the battles of the Iraq War and Afghanistan War. The crosses cover more area then I have in my picture - I could not get back far enough to get the whole view. I'm experimenting with the layout and coloring:):) Anyway, this will be my entry into the contest as this speaks for those on the other side of life who certainly have a "different" Point of View than us here. Here is more info on the subject at hand. CROSS Thanks for your comments:)

It is a pity that in such an unnecessary war caused by the foolish decision of one person so many brave men and women have lost their lives. Not only that - if it wasn't for that war there would have been no ISIS today and so many lives would have been saved and so much destruction avoided.

It is a subject that sadly, is part of our every day news!...

I like your idea here with the sails adding that extra touch!

A touching image, Bruce, when one realizes the stories behind it, inclusive the stories of the damaged lives of relatives and friends too. Join me therefore in the very wise words of Raj above.
Your entry for the contest is a good tribute for those involved in this tragedy, Buddy!

I like the idea behind your presentation. It is a valid and important point of view. And the immensity of the sheer number of crosses does (and should!) provide pause, recognition, horror, and revelation to any and all viewers.

Good luck in the contest, Bruce!
