First post in a long time.. this is my friend Meghan. She asked me to do her senior pictures for her and this is what I have so far. Using a Canon EOS Digital Rebel/EOS 300D and warming it up a bit in photoshop, i think this one was a winner. <3Susan

SuS - since I am old enough to be this girls Grandfather, I can give an honest opinion of your effort. Meghan"s pose, gives her a mischievous look. She seems to be full of life yet her dress and mannerism give the impression she is smart and well behaved. I am sure she already catches the attention of many young men, and this picture is an excellent effort by you to bring the best characteristics of your friend, to the viewers attention. Good job,

Trying to create good pictures, I feel as if I am standing on the edge of Insanity. There was a door. I found myself knocking on the door. The door opened. I was knocking from the inside. Oh Darn!

Wow. Your friend is very beautiful. You did a wonderful job of taking the picture as well. I'm sure with you behind the camera and her in front of it, all the shots must've looked amazing. Very nice picture. I'm sure she'll like it!

You compressed the photo slightly, didn't you? The actual photo is a little wider than this, isn't it?

Yes I agree - excellent work. The subject's colors go well with her surroundings. Your use of depth of field works well too. I feel though that when shooting a subject like a person or animal, unless you have a specific reason for placing them facing the short side of the frame it's generally best to position the subject looking into the frame with the large field in front of them instead of behind them.
