I spend quite a bit of time on the water in different weather conditions and times of day. I'm also fascinated by the interplay of water, clouds, and sunlight. This another view of B. Everett Jordan Lake, near Cary, NC on a overcast day in Jan 2020. Any and all critiques welcome.

Chris, I have sailed the seven seas for more than 35 years, so water is a very familiar item to me. I've learned to respect the sea in all its guises, from a cheerfully rippling friend to a horribly roaring monster.
When I look at this beautiful photograph, some of these feelings and associations come up again. A shot according to my heart!

As in your previous submission, Chris, I notice that the sky is more prominent than the water, and this, I believe, is only natural. While on the water myself, in my human-powered kayak (well, depending upon how much power I can actually bring to bear on my paddle, on any given day), the sky and what it brings has much more influence on just how long I can stay out there and whether I get out there at all. In this case, your art is definitely imitating life.
