I downloaded your shot, Gigi, and zoomed in on a few things. It always makes me feel good to know that even photographers of your caliber have the same problems that I do. At full size the image is nearly flawless. When I zoomed in, I did find a little noise and the same sort of white outline I get. Since most people aren't nuts enough to zoom in 600 times normal, it's an excellent image of the bird.
