Didn't know whether the degrees mentioned in your narrative are Fahrenheit or Celsius ones. In this case there's no much difference as -39�F makes -39.4�C (-39�F - 32) multiplied by 5/9 = -39.4�C). Proves again that Canada can be very cold.
