I had not posted on here in a while, here is a picture of the moon.

Waning gibbous moon - visibility : 87-90% - Nikon D810 , Nikon AF-S Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 G ED VR lens , tripod , taken at 400mm .

Jerome, although your lens has a VR (Vibration Reduction) capability, using a FL of 400mm, requires the use of a tripod indeed.
I'm curious for the exposure time. The result however is magnificent because of the details!
