Instead of boring you all to death submitting several photos over the following days, I decided to put a collage of the remaining photo's of the trip I profiled in my last entry. Starting from the top left to right. 1. This is me sitting on a bench that was the site of a famous local saloon back in the 1880's in Baraga, Mi. 2. The famous Bishop Baraga shrine atop the red rocks in L'anse. My mom was born not far from this location. 3. Me posing in front of Tahquamenon falls in Newberry, Mi. I remember when me and my mom got into town (Newberry) and settled down at the motel where we were staying. There were sirens going off around town, and my mom said it's a curfew reminder and that I should go to bed. Actually, it was a tornado siren and she didn't want to scare me. We were safe though, it's not as though she blew the whole thing off. 4. My mum posing in the same spot a moment after my photo as taken. 5. Festivity's during 4th of July which was huge in Baraga back in the day. 6. My mum wanted me to pose in front of a sign at the entrance to Tahquamenon falls. The sign says "all animals must be on a leash" and I'm doing a bad monkey pose. 7. The geese at the foot of Keeweenaw bay. 8. Me at the falls.

The life and times of a young boy named Alex. Be glad you have some good pictures. There were not very many of me when I was growing up. It would have been mostly black and white photos.

Fine collage with images of your childhood days, Alex.
I agree with SAW (Pat) because I see lots of similarities of my childhood days. The captures of mine, taken in the fifties of the past century, however are of a lesser quality and all are in B&W.

Your closeness to your Mum reminds me of how I feel about my Mom, Alex. She will be 95 in May. The memories mean a lot.
Wonderful collage and thanks for sharing your childhood and the love of your Mum with us.
It is obvious after reading the narrative that she loved you immensely.

Looks a very happy and 'colourful' childhood'
Like some of the others the few I have of mine are B/W and very small

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
