I really envy ornithologists! I went online for a good while trying to identify this bird whose photo I took at Lettuce Lake last month. I think it is some species of warbler, but as many know the study of birds is immense. I was surprised I got such a nice image of this bird, as it was very difficult with him flittering about. I apologise for melting down like Chernobyl yesterday. I understand there needs to be rules in place to make sure certain behaviours do not get abused. I suppose what triggered me was, we are such a tight nit and welcoming group, and even though this is "their site" I felt a bit like leave us alone. Anyhow. . . Concerning the photo yesterday. I get teased about still having that tin after all these years. I use it everyday and occasionally my grandmother's bread cutter from the 1920's. I believe if it isn't broke don't fix it.

Glad to see you are in better spirits Alex, and why wouldn't you be with such a beautiful bird singing for you.
It reminds me of our Chickadees. I really like the bokeh background and the touch of red among the green.
Well composed.

Alex, the only well know birds to me are 'maritime pigeons' aka seagulls.
Don't misunderstand me however, although I'm not a specialist when it comes to birds, I enjoy a good photograph, like this one, of our 'feathered friends'.

The warbler has a yellow belly but this one has a white belly. It could be a Black Phoebe. Nice and sharp photo.

It looks like a black and white warbler Alex - I had one fly into my front window a few weeks ago. He fortunately was just stunned and flew off after a little while.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
