great photo... love the framing and proportioning... thanks for not centering the dogs, while accentuating the path ahead w/ the downward slope of the mountains within reach... addition to my faves!
Great shot, M, excellent choice for a first post! Thr DOF really makes it work. By the way, you're getting an extraordinary number of comments here, way to go!
I'm glad you enjoyed the picture. The day I was in the sled was the coldest of my trip. It was 14°F the day of this photo. I had sizeable icicles in my beard when the trip was done. I had been driving the sled until a few minutes before I took this shot. We had just crossed a frozen lake and when I saw this path parallel to the river, the picture begged to be taken.
Love it! Very clear and well- centered picture. Plus I come from a country with a warm climate and scenery like that is not so often, so I appreciate it even more! thank you for sharing
OH MY! the perspective is soooooooooo wonderful on this photo....it's as tho I am in the dogsled...really beautifully done...the way the clouds perch above the mountains, and teh way the mountains seem to protect the little river. I just LOVE how the mountains get smaller andsmaller the farther away they are...and the reflection in the water of the snow..well, I LOVE this pic...bravo bravo!!!!!
The trip was about two hours long through narrow paths in pine forests and along a lake and this river. The time went by so quickly, however, it was surprising when it was done.
Awesome photo - gives you a great sense of perspective and puts you right in the scene. Fantastic stuff, particularly on a boiling hot day like today down in the southern hemisphere!
wow this is an amazing photo, this is something many people dont get a chance to see. and youve captured the beauty of the sport so well! love the angle, love the sky and the mountians and the lighting. just love it. 10 and in the favs
ohh the only thing i should comment on is the power lines, they kinda take away from the feeling of being out in the wilderness, but they move in line with the trail so its not that bad
