I have been waiting for some inspiration to hit me for the current contest named 'Fluid'. I was really hoping to get away from something that required some flowing water and a long shutter speed which is all very nice but a little predictable. I was also keen to photograph something fluid that wasnt water. However, currently due to lack of funds i am confined to the house. In addition to this it is absolutely throwing it down outside and has been for the last 14 days. So here it is. Obviously has been colourised which has made it a little noisy but hope you like. I do!

Hi, Rachel...

The jury is still out on this one for me. My mind isn't working at full throttle; so maybe I'll make up my mind before I finish my comments. It seems like so much of photography is in the eye of the beholder rather than the photographer. When the beholder's eye is itchy and watery with hay fever, a decision is readily available.

The detail is good but this type of shot doesn't lend itself to precise detail unless you're trying to shoot individual rain droplets in motion as they impact the surface. You'd probably need a better camera and a strobe light and a good deal of luck. The colorization seems like a good idea, but I can't even make up my mind about whether or not I like that.

Your entry is very different which is a good thing. I'll give you a 7 out of 10 although I'm not sure why. I'm ambivalent. What can I say?

Yes I do like very much. It has been throwing it down all day today, so this is very apt for our weather at the moment despite them saying we are in a drout! I like the tint you have given it too which adds that special something. Great entry for the contest - good luck.
