I have learned so much in the past couple of days from my good friends at Caedes. I have recently posted a couple of black and white images and the amount of support and advice i have gotten on how to improve them has been wonderful! I personally always love to learn and this repost is testiment to just how much can be learned from the good people who frequent this site! My thanks to Roger (Palral) and also to Cornilius (Corngrowth) for their halp in this matter and for being good enough friends to advise me on my shortcomings :) This is a repost of the image 'Behind the Bridge'. As per Rogers suggestions i downloaded ShiftN (a free download) to help straighten out the distortion and increased some of the contrast and sharpened the whole thing up before attempting to reduce then noise in the water. As per Cornilius' advice i have darken the sky a little so it is not quite so bright and distracting. Im not sure if darkening the sky is to the detriment of the image or not so i will leave you to decide! Once again thanks to everybody for thier advice :)

Rachel, I do like this one more, they gave you some very good advice, I like how you managed to darken the sky some also, and the overall look of this posting is better. Tigs♥ =^..^=

You're very welcome, Rachel. There are (Caedes) friends for, lol.
It's great to see for me as well that you've enhanced your previous post a lot.

Regards, Cornelius.

Wow, Rachel. The shot is vastly improved. That Roger guy must really be something special. The rework is far superior although I'm still not sure about the sky. I do agree with you that Roger is just the greatest. :-)

You may have created a monster ego in that Roger fellow. I'll roust out the villagers and round up some pitchforks, you get the torches started.

A good rework of your earlier shot, Rachel. Have you considered trying to merge multiple exposure shots? One set for the foreground lighting and the other for the background should do nicely.
