We purchased what we thought was a bright red Amaryllis. This is what we got. No complaints though, this one turned out to be a beauty. Someone at the garden centre (center for the U.S ?) obviously stuck the wrong tag on.

Well, it looks like the wrong amaryllis turned out to be the right amaryllis after all ! What beautiful blooms you have here. And this really is a great shot, the texture of the flowers is such that I feel like I could reach through my screen & touch them !

No, this is the right Amaryllis. it doesn't get any better. The color is unique. Anybody can have a red one. This one was special for you. The detail inside the flower is awesome. The coloring is so delicate. There is not one blemish on those flowers anywhere. THAT is unusual. Nope, this was to be. And, I'm the better for it.
