I think tongue is fine - this tongue is more than fine, it if very sharp and wow. Smile. But what I like most is how the sun makes the butterfly shine and glow. Very good work.
I think it's a proboscis...but that could pertain to an elephant's trunk too ::LOL:: This is a gorgeous, artistic render of a most lovely butterfly. It's more than the strikingly clear proboscis and more than the whole of the butterfly....faves and an exceptional upload, my dear :)
I think it's a proboscis, but I've been known to be wrong on occasion. (alot) LOL This is a real beauty Jan, watch this one do well in the C. (my prediction) :)

I have seen many good butterfly shots on here over the years, but don`t think I`ve ever seen one as good as this. I think it`s down to the focus you got. Most have had the butterfly in focus and everything else blurred but as this has part of the butterfly blurred and parts beneath in focus it all comes together so well. I`m very impressed!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Hi Jan, I got your butterfly picture in the VB - this is really a beautiful image with wonderful soft focus and very dreamy! I have added it to my favourites! One of the best butterfly photographs I have seen - not only for the quality but for the feeling is portrays!
