Very good and mysterious. For some reason I can picture you skipping on the top of the wall. Am I wrong? I don't think so. Love the colors and texture of this one Jan. What a nice trip you must have had.
That's just amazing. Looks like it could be out of the Lord of the Rings. Beautiful composition and the greys are just so steely. Look out for the troll dung....
Outstanding! Perfect angle and compo. Im waiting for a pic of that bridge :)(maybe its wishful thinking)
These pics of your trip are wonderful! Keep them coming please :)
All the films over the last 80 years which have used this location right up to the Highlander series and Braveheart, I don't think any of them has done it as much justice. Well done , Lassie. Aye. Tommy
Click here to see WHITBY through the lens of Frank Meadow Sutcliffe! PS I have no commercial link but Sutcliffe's photographs are historical! and any photographer worth his salt should at least know the history of their subject. He is one of the reasons I consider myself lacking, by the way. TG

Hi Jan...gosh, this photo has such a dramatic royal feeling. Due to where you were standing or zooming away from the subject, it is just a grand location of the castle. And I just love that you can be this close to it. How much fun it would be to just walk around there, and take close-ups of the windows etc. I love how you did this whole thing...I didn't see the other photo, but I like this very much my friend..
The clouds seem to wrap around the castle...its wonderful..V
