i posted this in black and white cos i was shooting through wire and there were some deviations in the colour where the wires were, although you couldnt actually see the wire i wish his eyes were a little sharper, but these were harder than the jaguars to shoot, however, i still liked it enough to post!

An American Bobcat in London... I like :o)

Wonderful, and if I might, almost poignant portrait of this big cat. No, they're not easy to shoot.. especially when they're behind 1" glass here at the local zoo. B/W serves this well, but the winner, I think, is the crop. Bravo, Jan!

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

Hopefully I will find one of these in the wild to photograph this fall. They are becoming a lot of them in our area. In fact, there is now a legal trapping season. This is a good post Jan. B/W does not hurt it. I would have liked to have seen more of its ears. They really look nice.

considering the clean up you must have had to do its a lovely study indeed - suggesting any changes would seem churlish in that light but my one beef would be the burnt out highlights which just detract a smidge from the overall effect.

Same again, you have a real knack of catching a fantastic expression on animals' faces. Black and white works great as well, it really brings out his features.

A very nice shot. I am curious why you named it as you did because this beautiful animal is really a mountain lion, also known as a cougar and a number of other localized names but never a Bobcat. They are the little cousin with the bobbed tail. Oh well, nice shot anyway.
