And if you did add a touch of Orton's to this particular post processing mix ... well done.
Catching that one breaking wave is your images' here ... pièce de résistance. Most certainly a strong visual aspect/element that adds to the compositional balance.
And but of course ... glad you didn't break a bone on the journey down and back up ... or, get swept out to sea ... and end up being held on a pirate ship against your will.
(/\ Er, maybe? :oP)

So beautiful Dimps. Your treatment is only matched by your photographic skills. Love the deep colors. The foam of the waves is really good. Excellent work.
Brilliant capture Jan, love that moody sky and the white of the waves captured in the picture. You done really well to get such a great pic with weather like this!
So they have white cliffs in Dorset too. Such a nice capture of chilly foreboding weather beyond the cliffs and in the pounding waters. Was it windy? lol Very dramatic and beautiful image, Jan.
Trying to work out how I missed this one before... I love this stormy shoreline and how the deep sky enhances. Contrasts are exquisite to my eyes. Excellent work!
I love the drama, the darkness, in this photo. And with those cliffs, it makes me want to write a poem..of two lovers....well, maybe not! But the light cliffs compared to the dark sky is truly magnificent. Hope you didn't wear yourself out too much! Very nicely done my friend!! VErena
Just came across this photo and wow. A very dark and omening clouds off in the distance. Really enjoyed this one. A prefect background for my computer when I'm feeling 'blah and annoyed' lol. A fav here!!
Yes finally he gets time to comment. Great to have you down in Dorset, even if it was just for the one day. I was thinking it was a shame about the weather that day, until I saw this. What a stunner! You certainly got dramatic lighting and some wild water here - just the right amount of orton too, very classy.
