Popping out back of Leadenhall Market, you find yourself at the back door to the Lloyds Building in London. A facinating building. I liked how you can see all the elevator doors on the left side of the picture.
So THAT'S the famous "Lloyd's of London" building? This is actually the first time I ever saw the structure itself...WIERD!!! Thanks for sharing...Favs...
This is so cool John, I live not far from the Lloyds building and have been there so many times looking at ways to capture it. Leadenhall Market, where the most successful shot in my gallery was taken, is at the back of here and the Gherkin of course is just across the road. I like the effect of the steel in this, the metallic sheen is really good as are the rich colours in the sky and the reflections in the lift shafts. The two problems I have always had with it were how to deal with the lens distortions caused by angling upwards, and how to organise the frame to get a decent composition. I think you have partially solved those issues here, in that I don't mind the angle and the four vertical structures in the frame go a long way towards an organised composition. I have decided to try a tilt and shift lens but as I don't have one that may take some time.... This is very nice work on a very difficult subject.
