Lake Louise again.

This time, without the lederhosen and the alp horn.

I've wrestled with this image for a while, as I couldn't decide if I liked it with the bank and trees or without. Just the canoe by itself seemed too leave the image devoid of content, so the bank won out, it's just got a hint of perspective.

While the lake is alluring to swim in on a hot summer afternoon, it is glacier fed and f--f--freezing to touch.

Wonderful colour of the water and a nice contrast with the green of the trees on the far bank. An interesting capture, John and thanks for sharing.

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson

Incredible colours John. It does look a bit too chilly for a swim though.

I think you got it right John. Looks beautiful. The only other crop I would try is a 16x9 wide screen sacrificing some water off the bottom. (Keep the trees.) The wide screen crop may give the canoe more of a sense of motion. Just a thought. Like I said, I think you got it right. Great color!
