This is my entry to the photojournalism contest - the remembrance service at Edmonton International Airport last Monday. My lad plays with the pipe and drum band at the service. The remembrance service is held at the airport, so service personnel can attend without being too far from their posts.

There is no option to wait for Memorial Day to acknowledge our great debt to our Armed Forces and to express our sympathy and support for the families left behind far too often. This little ceremony is all the more poignant for being small enough to be very personal to everyone there. Perfect for PhotoJournalism!
