Castle River, near Pincher Creek, Alberta. It's a terrible dilemma: go fish or take pictures?

No dilemma at all! Do both things - it is at least just as easy as walk the 50 kg dog amongst stray cats, crossing the street and take a pic of a dove just landing:) Excuse my funny mood - this is such a charming image and beautiful place that I feel simply overjoyed... Glad you solved the dilemma much to our hearts' content!

I always had a wee compact with me every time I went fishun'..

no bugga would believe me when I said I caught a 'whopper'...so a snap was necessary!...even if it was one some one else caught!...lol ☺

I like the scene on this..looks a good place!

For me it would be the camera! Lovely scenery here my friend, very nice. The movie "A River Runs Through It" comes to mind.

A co-worker of mine is a die-hard fly fisherman (even his license plate says so) and I know he'll love having this on his desktop, and knowing where it is (we live in North Dakota, and Alberta is a neighbor). I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up fishing near this very spot someday. Thanks for the submission; it's a great wallpaper for an office, allowing one to escape the cubicle, even if only for a few minutes at a time. -Nik

I can understand your dilemma John, the scenery is so outstanding but water, & cameras don't make good bedfellows! Well done to you on this fine photograph.
