-Mixing up Lines
All of the different pipes crossing over each other

-Out of Balance
Using the peak of the roof as a “Center for Balance” there is more on the right side then the left

-Poor Framing
There is far to many lines crossing over around and behind the subject to define an as a border

-Bad Mergers
Assuming this means things Merging together, it would be the pipes and metal merging together at to many different angles.

-Tilted Horizon Line
I don’t think this needs any reasoning why.

-Subject Partially Cropped
Girl was not fully shown due to the table blocking the view of her legs

-Poor Colour
Intentionally set off the White Balance on my camera

-Dead Center
Subject standing dead center

-Camera Jiggle
The camera moved during long exposure

-Out of Focus
Subject was out of focus when picture was taken


-Wrong Exposure
The image was under exposed from what it should have been

-What Am I Looking At
Due to the zooming of the lens during the picture it can lead to confusion of the focal point and a sense of vertigo

oh yes and this would have been in B&W and looked way better but my D70s dosnt do b&w and we werent aloud to use photoshop so yea umm.. use you imagination?

I imagine it would have been OK to desaturate the image, but this does nevertheless stand out. It is a very jarring image that leaves me a bit distrubed after I look away to my keyboard. I imagine that was your goal, and I think that in all those broken rules you achieved what you were seeking.

Desaturating is not allowed for the contest. No post-capture adjustments.

Well, you should win just due to the number of rules broken ! As for your image, actually, it's dizzying to look at it too long, you get the feeling of falling into the image. So all I can say is, best of luck in the contest !! : )

It's like a shot from a distrurbing dream, very interesting and unique picture, I like it a lot and I also like your thorough explanation of all the rules you broke, it gives a better understanding of the picture. Best of luck at the contest!

I'm not quite sure what i'm looking at but i love it. It seems familliar, in a strange way.

That came out really cool and good...all that dissorder makes it seem as if the whole thing is coming at me..like its about to hit me..honestly that is what i saw when I first took a look at it.

wow, there are ppl who try this purposeful rule-breaking and never quite get it right--ya cant manufacture good bad photography...if that makes sense? well, anyway i love it and right into my faves. Good luck w/the contest.
