I've had some problems with my left foot for some time now...This past Sunday, it had gotten quite painful to stand or even walk, so I went to the emergency section @ the local hospital...Turns out, I had a diabetes-related deep-running infected abcesss between the fourth and fifth toes of my left foot...After yesterday's (06-05) surgery, I am doing fine, but I am now minus two toes...I'll be OK, tho...

All the best for a quick recovery Ron. Hope you will be able to walk normal soon. You may need a special shoe for that.

Sorry Ron - I know the diabetes battle only too well - my brother lost part of his toe earlier this year after a nearly two year battle with a stubborn infection - hang in there.

Oh my goodness. I guess diabetics don't always know when they have a problem in their feet. I am sorry to hear that it led to amputation, but it is far better than the alternative. You're in my thoughts and I wish you a speedy recovery. Hospitals aren't a lot of fun, so I hope you go home soon.
