like the side view showing the wind blowing the surf off the top of the breakers and the late day sun shining on the sand. so peaceful and empty but I bet it's packed in the summer time...great view of winter on the shore JB
You say it was a cold December day, so, I bet getting sand in your trunks was even more of a bite to you on this day than it would have been during the summer! lol. But, on the plus side, you did pretty much have the beach all to yourself.
Definitely doesn't look like a December day in Maryland. We have finally gotten some snow that has been sticking around for a few days, but now I hear it will warm up and rain today and then later cool down and snow some more. Perhaps we will have January in April? Nice shot. Tom
Another wonderful shot by you Jim. Love the textures you captured in the sand as well as the shadows and the surf. All works together for a top notch image. You have an eye for it without doubt.
Jimbob - It is quite evident that the fence is serving its purpose in reducing erosion. As well, I see that common sense did not make it to the three surfers seen admiring the surf. The late day lighting is perfect for this shot, with the long shadows in the nearby sand and waved highlighted. Thad
Perfect composition .... the diagonal, vertical, & horizontal lines caught my eye first. Love the softness of the wavy sand beach. Excellent capture, Jim.
Very nice image, the shadows of the sticks give to your image a part of reality. We almost feel the wind in our hair, a big wind regarding of the waves. Love this winter atmosphere on the beach. Very well done.
