This was taken on March 30th, when there was still a lot of ice on Lake Erie, although it is not as evident in this shot. This one is for Lyn's Black and White Challenge.

This is a very nice B/W image Jimbob. Well composed showing the trees and the piers and the water with part of it still covered with floating ice.

Great tones and nicely composed Jimbob. It sure looks cold ! Has an air of loneliness about it.
Thank you for the BWC entry :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Soon the lake will be in full swing with boat traffic and swimmers diving off the dock. I agree in that the B/W adds an overall coldness to the scene. Good one for the challenge, Jimbob.

Did you try unplugging it so it will thaw out faster? Or maybe use a heat gun. A good b/w presentation of the scene, Jimbob. Nice depth and contrasts in the photo.
