This barn and farm house came very close to being destroyed on Sept. 11, 2001. They are just yards away from where Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania.

A little bit of Topaz Simplify was used in editing this shot.

Does someone still live there Jim? It looks good in B&W, and fits the somber moment in time of that day. tigs=^..^=

I like the treatment you gave this photo Jimbob. It is a claim to fame that no-one would want. So hard to believe 14 years have passed. A date forever embedded in our minds.

This is such a peaceful scene now and I am delighted to add it to the BWC list :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

It looks like a wonderful and peaceful place to live, JimBob. The nearby crash of Flight 93 must have been very traumatic and painful for those close by, as I know it was for many families of victims. It was such an awful time in the history of our country.

I can't imagine being there on 11 September. A traumatic tragedy for all the world.

What a trauma it must have been for the people in that house if somebody had been living there. Nice capture and good editing Jimbob.

They were lucky not to be hit but unlucky to have that tragedy so near to them as a reminder every day. Good filter effect.
