Hope you like the image.
I wish he was fully centered and that you could see both wings in full view, but that is the downfall to the digital camera and not being able to anticipate the shot!

It doesnt happen often that you can get an image like this. This is beautiful centered or not. If you had waited, you may have missed the moment totally! We can tell that what is on the right is also on the left.
June: You had such great timing with this shot and did very well overall with having to react so quickly. Reminds us to be prepared and have the camera on ready for such a rare photo opportunity. This beautiful creature really stands out from the dark, rich blue of the water. High marks.
It’s a beautiful shot of this oh so graceful creature June. If you had centred him we probably wouldn’t see all the detail in his feathers. So how did you get him to perform for you like that?
You must have fireworks in your fingers or something to fast enough to get this picture. It's gorgeous. I love the deep blue of the water too, it usually looks grey in these shots. I don't think the lack of centering subtracts from it at all.
Hello everyone, what lovely comments.
I thank you all very much. It was a lovely experience seeing the swans with the wings opened.
Tonight I will post one more with the side view.
Hope you stay tuned.

Hi Junie Gem, my what a delightful scene, that deep dark rich blue of the water contrasting with the glorious white of the bird delivers to us a mighty interesting image!! You had your camera set just as you wanted it to capture this action scene just the way you planned it!! It worked well, nice job June, very nice!! You are back in full swing keeping me on my toes by the way! LOL! Sincerely, Marilyn
Great timing here June...he looks as if he is holding his arms out to an applauding audience...a proud and magnificent bird...beautifully captured...congrats and good work.:Pat.
Ahhhhhh.... still dancing for his gal, isn't he? Being away on vacation has it's drawbacks, I am doing images out of order, oh well! I like this shot better than the other one. I like the full front view with the wings fully spread and the detail you captured is incredible. I can see water droplets on the neck and the lower abdomen of this fine feathered friend. I certainly hope he gets the gal he is wooing...he has worked hard enough for her. Maybe you will be able to follow up and show us their goslings when the time comes :)
Thanks for another addition to my favorites folder on my hard drive. This will look really cool running in my slideshow! Thanks angel :~)
Hi June,
I noted from the thumbnail that this swanny has no red beak but black. Now I must have seen a million swan here in Holland, but never with a black beak. Is that a common swan?
About the swan not being centered, it is not a problem. If you want a closeup of swan like this, that is impossible, so I like it as it is!
What a beautiful majestic bird. WOW. Great capture June. The water is a great blue too. Excellent work as always. 10 from me buddy. Have a terrfic day! Sarah :)
Wouldn't it be wonderful if wildlife would just pose and say "cheese" whenever we held up the camera? :) This is a GREAT shot ... You saw an opportunity and I think you took excellent advantage of it. Being a bird lover ... this goes in my favorites ... John
