It is a perfectly good picture with excellent composition and exposure! Absolutely looks like a winter day! However people tend to prefer bright, lively images for their desktop backgrounds, so it is not getting as much attention as a "postcard" type image would.

This is very beautiful.....and most of us , or rather many of us use digital....

Hi Alicia. Great photo you got here. I like the gentle sweep of the land going from lower right around to the left, then back to the upper right, and the soft fringe of trees gives life to the photo. The only suggestions I have is that you get the next one with a higher resolution camera, and that you clone out the irregularities like the ship on the horizon and the thing in the foreground on the beach. Nice image though. Thanks for sharing.
