The Grampians are unique and are a very captivating region of Scotland which is blessed with outstanding scenery and an unspoilt environment....This picture was taken on the way home after spending two weeks on holiday...Please enjoy.

Glorious autumnal colours in this image, Mick and a beautifully composed shot. For me, the scene looks slightly bleak - perhaps because there's no sign of birds or wildlife. But I love the serenity and sense of being separated from noise and bustle, and that sky is just wonderful.

WOW, fall is in the air and getting ready to cover the countryside in this one. It certainly is a lovely expanse you've presented to us with this post Mick. The sky is magnificant and this certainly is a beautiful view. Thanks for sharing this one.

oh oh...I feel a verbage attack coming on...lol..this is so wonderfully presented and marvelous to look at, oh, of course it's in my faves...I'll only comment on one aspect that I really liked..well, maybe two :))))) and that is the color in the Grampians themselves. They're so majestic, but the colors of blue and green are arranged in such a way that it reminds me of an ocean's colors, darker, but just as captivating in their own quiet way...and one of the other reasons this has me mezmorized is the stark contrast between the dark background of which I just spoke and the fanciful and well lit straw and grasses in the array in the foreground that just adds sparkle to this. I find the whole presentation fascinating, but I'll leave some aspects for someone else to rhapsodize about, becuase I could easily take up another half a page. Maybe it's because I live in the mountains and choose to live here that this is such an agreeable scene to me, and not bleak in the least. :)PJ

What a glorious landscape. The colors are so rich and I like the slight bleakness to it. Outstanding work. I think I'll check out your gallery for more. :)

Well done mate. I'am a habitual reader of the magazine "Practical photography" which is published in UK and I saw some amazing landscapes from Scotland in that few weeks back. Your shot reminds me of them.

By the way my sincere apologies for not showing up on the last 15 days since I had a back injury while trekking in a jungle area. Glad to say that I have partially recovered now and able to walk again after few days in hospital.

Hi Mick,
I saved this one. Its beautiful, brooding and thought provoking. A drop of Nelsons blood would not go amiss whilst gazing at this scene. In all honesty, you have done such a good job with this, I feel as though I am there. Thanks for sharing.
