Being a man who prefers Bourbon I'm unable to comment on the sales pitch for Scotch whiskey, but I certainly can appreciate the image so well presented. This field of Barley you bring us is a thing of joy to view Mick ... It's been my pleasure to view your postings here at Caedes. Thanks for the Best Wishes for 2007 ... and those wishes are extended right back to you from across the Atlantic my friend.

The golden colors here Mick are just outstanding. I also like how you included the wildflowers in this for a splash of color. My eyes carry through this with such ease and pleasure. Happy New Year to you also and thank you sharing your amazing photos with us. It's always a pleasure to see what you've posted next.

Of course it wouldn't be complete without some purple heather on the mountainside and some classic Scottish thistle, oh wait, looks like you got those. Nevermind.

Wonderful in all respects. I like the contrast of the clover (?) in the foreground and the sky is stunning. As for the gold barley - easy now to see why whisky is that colour.
Mmmm

Happy New Year to you Mick and many thanks for your wonderful pictures through 2006.

Whew. This is gorgeous. Barley for making liquor, huh? Lawdy, don't let fogz see this. She'll be rolling in the field and you'll never get her up. I love the sharp detail in the forefront of this image. I wish it was just as sharp in the yellow part of the field. Oh well. It's a keeper, that''s for sure.

Hi Mick, this is so beautiful, in all of it's simplicity! The rolling hills of golden hues, the intermitent shades of green, and last, but never least, the blue of that extraordinaire sky as it arches over the beauty below, together these elements, blend to complete and to refine the image! Wonderfully done Mick, and thank you for the lovely New Year's wishes, and I of course, gleefully offer them back to you, wrapped in my bow of Pink! Enjoy the remainder of your Holiday Season, Mick!!!!! Sincerely, Marilyn

Stunning colours and scenery Mick. I remember when I was about 9 and went on holiday with my Grandparents and we did the whiskey trail. Sadly I was too young for samples and had to make do with orange juice lol.

The fact that I've never seen this one, over 6 years after you submitted it, is testament to the volume of images here at Caedes. It struck me when I saw it on the home page, as a thumbnail, because I recognized it as one of yours, Mick, regardless of it's size. The superb and strong contrasts in light and color in your photos are a trademark for you that everyone can appreciate.
