The foothills of the Scottish Grampians provided me with the ideal opportunity to take photographs and experience the peace and tranquillity of the countryside...Please enjoy.
I'm 18 and don't travel much. But I tend to bring my camera around just to catch what sticks out from my everyday goings. (pardon me if I speak my mind)

I would have loved to be standing where this picture was taken. Nature is so beautiful to just sit and take in its beauty. This will make a fantastic desktop. Thanks for sharing.
I'm with BC on this one..it's funny how the ground appears to be lit from underneath..I know it's just a trick of the sun and clouds, but it certainly adds up to a very interesting view.
Your landscapes always have such a dramatic flair to them. This is a very powerful image. Love the ominous advancing clouds, the variety of the landscape and colours. A stellar work. :)
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Rob (Viking_boy) above has the right idea ... put this one in the favorites. The stark contrast between sky and hillside here is the key to this lovely piece of work. The sunlight breaking through that cloud cover like a heavenly spotlight is stunning. The blend of gold, green and coppertone captured with your lens may cause many artists to put their easels, palettes and brushes up for sale on E-Bay.:o) It's a grand image you've posted Mick ... GRAND!

Wow Mick this is a great capture of a scottish landscape, it is indeed dramatic but it gives me still a warm feeling, because of the warm colours in the middle! Very well done!

Helluva image Mick!! Marvelific in overall comp, color and tone controls give the viewer many senses of mood!! Lavish lighting warms the soul while the impending skyline gives way to a sense of urgency!! Spot on mate!!
So cool....amazing colors. There's always something in photos that my eyes wander to that maybe they aren't meant to....with this one it's that group of trees at the top right. There so bright sandwiched between the dark gray clouds and the dark green hills. Great job!!!
beautiful peice great job. i luv how the hills still have bright colors even with the cloud cover. reminds me of that kind of person that will be in a good mood no matter what kind of bad things are happening to them. great job
When I got tired of running from you
I stopped right there to catch my breath
There your words they caught my ears
You said, “I miss you son. Come home”

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.
