Churches are fascinating buildings. Their architecture is often breath-taking, and there is usually a story behind the contruction of every building and where they are located...Phographed in Cornwall....Please enjoy.

lovely dramatic, and rather unusual image of a church. I find it more unusual (but good) because the church stands in a very far distance Mick, I love the dramatic feeling you gave it!

Looks like it is just sitting there all by itself, waiting for the parishioners to get there. Great shot.

Beautiful shot, Mick - the lighting emphasises the church and its position in the landscape. I get the feeling I should know where it is, but I can't place it...

I like the division of sky/land/water in your image, Mick - it's very easy on the eye. Attractive little church, al the more so because of the excellent lighting in your sky. Very nice work.

I like how you took shot from other side of the river. The vista is great and I get the feeling that I'm trying to figure out how to get across to attend church. The sky is both dark and light at the same time, which gives me the feel that I'm there. Great coloring. Photo has everything. Good post.

I love this far way sight of the church. The inclusion of all the surrounding landscape makes it looks so mysterious and isolated. I love the lighting and the stormy sky. Excellent work as always Mick. :)

Hi Mick, just seen this in Featured Images and had to comment. It's such an original take on a church - how long did it take you to decide on that spot I wonder, it's perfect. Like this a lot.

Boy Mick, it's good to be back at Caedes after being away for the summer. This "knockout" image reminded me how much I missed while gone. You haven't lost your touch with color and lighting that I find so fascinating. Nice piece of photography ... thanks for the enjoyment you give me my overseas friend.

Such a lovely photo. I read a novel about the building of cathedrals in England, I think it was called 'Pillars' and this became a fascinating topic for me. I guess the worshippers must come from quite a distance to attend services.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
