Mick, I haven't seen a post of yours for a few days but this makes the wait worthwhile. What a great dawn you have captured. I bet you have to "get up pretty early in the morning" to get one of these. I could stay up for days and never be able to duplicate the original view like you have. The tree really adds to this photo. In fact I believe it is the photo. I expect to see Rhett and Scarlet come out from behind it. This is truly one for the ages.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Thats a beauty alright, I love to see more of Cornwall your pictures make it look so amazing, I've recently traced my dads family to there, I'd like to see it for myself one day but for now I'm happy to explore it through your lens!
Ah my friend, tis another beauty you bring us. Brilliantly understated sky. ( Bit of an oxymoron) Gorgeous color. Credit must be given to Mother Nature for the marvelous shape to that tree, but where it was placed in the image ... well ... that's all yours my friend. Simply lovely to look at.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Stunning Mick, don't know how I missed this up till now. It's in a lot of peoples' favourites I bet, mine too now. One of the most beautiful sunset shots I've seen.

Firstly...I would like to echo Rob's words...when noticing the... thumbnail... reminded me instantly...that this image would soon be in my 'House of Favorites'.... quite a compliment...indeed.....
This scene reminds me of one we might see in Western Africa...with it's tree of black... against the deepest of rich soft 'golden' yellows....softly brooding skies...as seen so often where Africa 'straddles' the equator...
This kind of extraordinary scene...has set the stage for many popular movies...we all remember them.... and will... for some time....;o) This image exudes for me...such a tremendous feeling of peace and serenity...as I imagine physically being there.... it is difficult to explain...a personal experience that is truly a joy....a mental impression of one....I must never forget.....
Melodramatic..yes........but then folks...that is just me.....doubt my imagination will ever fail me...as I love to mentally explore and to think of the 'beauty' above me....the beauty on this page...;o)
Fine job...my friend...you are quite the artist....Mick....your photography is lovely.....but then...you have always known this....
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Girl i been goin through some hardtimes
without you i don't think i can write rhymes
i should have paid more attention to the signs
back when life was good and you were mine
Great shot! The colour of the sky and the clouds look amazing. I don't know if it's your camera, but all of your photos seem to have a special kinda glow...all really great!! Look forward to more. Thanks for sharing :)
