Mick, I haven't seen a post of yours for a few days but this makes the wait worthwhile. What a great dawn you have captured. I bet you have to "get up pretty early in the morning" to get one of these. I could stay up for days and never be able to duplicate the original view like you have. The tree really adds to this photo. In fact I believe it is the photo. I expect to see Rhett and Scarlet come out from behind it. This is truly one for the ages.

Ah my friend, tis another beauty you bring us. Brilliantly understated sky. ( Bit of an oxymoron) Gorgeous color. Credit must be given to Mother Nature for the marvelous shape to that tree, but where it was placed in the image ... well ... that's all yours my friend. Simply lovely to look at.

Hello Mick....

Firstly...I would like to echo Rob's words...when noticing the... thumbnail... reminded me instantly...that this image would soon be in my 'House of Favorites'.... quite a compliment...indeed.....

This scene reminds me of one we might see in Western Africa...with it's tree of black... against the deepest of rich soft 'golden' yellows....softly brooding skies...as seen so often where Africa 'straddles' the equator...

This kind of extraordinary scene...has set the stage for many popular movies...we all remember them.... and will... for some time....;o) This image exudes for me...such a tremendous feeling of peace and serenity...as I imagine physically being there.... it is difficult to explain...a personal experience that is truly a joy....a mental impression of one....I must never forget.....

Melodramatic..yes........but then folks...that is just me.....doubt my imagination will ever fail me...as I love to mentally explore and to think of the 'beauty' above me....the beauty on this page...;o)

Fine job...my friend...you are quite the artist....Mick....your photography is lovely.....but then...you have always known this....
