The original castle was built sometime in the 14th century,but due to financial troubles the build was never completed….Building of the castle as it appears today commenced in 1610 and in 1626 the great tower was built….. There are stories of a `fiddler` who apparantly haunts the castle and his tunes can sometimes be heard by visitors to the castle…..Please enjoy

Nice one here Mick, I really like the lighting. The darkness surrounds the bright castle. Giving it a refuge in the dark look. Thanks for sharing this photo.

Think it's more likely that it's the howling wind trough the never completed castle, Mick, lol.
Suppose that this castle was illuminated by flood-lights, else your postwork is great. Both are possible as well. Very fine capture!

LOL I wonder if the Craigievar 'fiddler' was on the roof? Would account for him having fallen in the well - it is very steep.

Marvelous use of light and color, Mick! Your composition really grabs the eye and commands the viewer's attention. I like the dark sky, as well. Excellent!
