Dan and I spotted this guy in a cafe in Punta Cana. If you will notice he only has one leg . He hopped around eating scraps off the floor. He finally took a seat and I whipped out my trusty nikon and said Smile !
I love the simplicity of your composition, bird and chair. The Lennon/McCartney song "Black Bird" came to mind...'Blackbird singing in the dead of night. Take these broken wings and learn to fly.' Well done Marsha.
A great opportunity grabbed by you - another example of your sharp eye for a photo. It turned out really well and is a delight to see. Poor little thing with only one leg.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By. Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
You did good on the timing of this one Marsha, makes me wonder what happened to him, but at least he gets around okay. This would be good for the B&W challenge. Tigs♥ =^..^=
OK, you captured this at just the right moment. Really like the coloring, the fact that this beautiful blackbird was on a black chair. Excellent composition and details. Bravo. Unique!
You captured this bird in a lovely setting with the chair and when you enlarge this photo the detail in the chair and bird stand right out ,well done and I like the light in this photo too.
Good composition of the scene and a nice capture of the blackbird, Marsha. There's a one-legged crow that visits home for the last couple of years but I've never been able to catch it with the camera. Maybe I should try using a net.
Makes me think of Humphrey Bogart. The scene, not the bird.
