These cacti looked to me like alien plant life invaders. Proxima Centauri b is about the nearest exoplanet thought to be habitable.

When I first saw this as a thumbnail I thought you shot an out-of-focus macro of broken wire (granted, I was seeing it on my iPhone) but, as Tick always says, we have to enlarge to appreciate. This is some wild looking cactus alright, and I�d hate brush up against it; those ultra fine spines would be like grinding glass insulation into my skin. Makes me grimace just looking at it; a true litmus test of success for any photo.

Oh my Ted, at a quick glance they look like huge spider legs - that is one really cool & strange looking cactus. Really cool angle and capture
