I love Gazania and cannot resist photographing any I see. A native of South Africa, also known as Treasure Flower or Rainbow Flower. These ones grow by the creek that has featured in several of my pictures. Both my posts today are Gazanias as I could not choose which one :). . . . . .Panasonic DMC-FZ7. . . . . My thanks to all viewers and commenters :)

How could you choose between this and the following post? I suppose this would be the best if the sheer intensity of the color were the criterion. But....

What a gorgeous colour these are - surprised they're not called Flaming Sunset flowers. Excellent shot, Lyn and I especially like the way you've composed it so that no petals of the two main flowers have been cropped. Beautiful!

A new flower for me and a lovely one it is Eve. I've looked at both posts and decided to comment here because after much consideration I finally decided I liked this image a tad more than "Gazania Gold". Both excellent but I favored this one perhaps because it's a tighter close-up. Not very helpful to you I'm sure ... but I DID pick one ... more than I can say for someone I know. LOL

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I was lucky enough to get these babys in the voting booth yesterday and gave them high marks as they deserve!! This is just smashing photography Eve!! The lighting is grand and really sets up the amazing deep rich colors on the flora!! Sweet 'n' simple framing locks the viewer in right where ya want'em!!

The black really deifnes the center of the flower and itse simplistic beauty. When we are seeing snowfall imghaes, it is delightful that we are reciveing such sunny images.

Orange is one color I usually don't like - but I find in flowers it is great and in this case I could become a major fan of the color orange!! This is absolutely stunning! I'm going to have to do some reading - your photos have gotten me interested in New Zealand! What
beautiful scenery and flowers you have and what a gift you have for showcasing them!
