Seize The Day!! . . . . I did, a beautiful Spring day, an hour at a deserted beach, a few sandwiches, a flask of coffee and 100 photos ! Most of them rubbish :) I have tried to give this one a bit of a 'painted' look. The only colour I have adjusted is the sky - it was very turquoise so I desaturated it a bit in PSP. . .Panasonic DMC-FZ7.. Thank you for taking a look.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated.

Oh my, what a beautiful and beautifully deserted beach! I like the paint effect, it works very well here. The aspect and composition are also very good, particularly on the mountains. I hope to see some more shots from this area from time to time!

Isn't that the beauty of digital? Take 100 and keep the best. This one is such a beautiful beach shot! I think I would have liked that turquoise sky, too!

Great view and I like the uncluttered look of it all. It does look like a painting (which I couldn't afford to purchase). Very nice photo and post. Looks good on desktop.

There's that beautiful ocean, only this time it's called Pacific. What a vantage point, what a view, what marvelous golds and blues! What a honey of a shot, Eve. What I wouldn't give to be able to walk that shoreline.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Eve, I like the painted look that you gave this image. The appearance is quote professional & very classy. It sounds as though the day was quite lovely for you ;=). I really, really like what you did with the sky .It gives it such depth. The only critique I have is I would like to see a bit more of that gorgeous sky and a little less water/sand. I am not sure if that would take away from the incredible curve of the shoreline that you shot.
All in all, very tasteful and well done.
Thank you for sharing this with me :=)
To my favorites it goes so I can listen to the waves crashing whenever I want.

I'm planning on buying a new camera...does anyone recommend a relatively nice one in a reasonable price?
