There are over 26 species of birds living in the protected Hawkesbury Lagoon area. My efforts at capturing close ups of any were not much good :(
The ones seen here are mainly Mallards but there is also a pair of Paradise Ducks just behind the rock. She has the white head. They are NZ Natives and usually mate for life. Thanks for viewing. Comments most welcome and appreciated.

Wonderful shot here Lyn. Looks like a great place for the ducks and other waterfowl indeed.

You are turning brown and we are turning green. Such is the complexion of different climates LE. The smoothness of this makes if very tranquil. Good post.

I guess you do have the ducks, Reminds me of the place near me with many birds. You would need a 300-400mm lens to capture these up close. Nice image as is.

Another fine photo, LynEve! Again, nicely composed, and I love the contrasting tan and green colors backed by the mostly gray sky. Well done!

That water looks like a mirror. Such a delightful place for these birds to hang out. Very pretty scene.
